Frequently Asked Questions about Using Magnetic Rollers and Flexible Blades (1)

times

Q: Is the magnetism of the magnetic roller electromagnetic and can be turned on and off?

A: The magnetic roller adopts high-strength magnetic blocks, high-quality steel and high-performance adhesive to ensure the stability of its long-term magnetic attraction function. The magnetic roller composed of magnetic blocks is safe and reliable during rotary die-cutting, and there is no need to worry about the accident during high-speed operation due to the sudden disappearance of the electromagnetic force.

Q: How strong is the magnetic force of the magnetic roller?

A: After selecting the standard high-strength magnetic block, the normal magnetic roller and flexible blade can withstand the rotation speed of the rotary machine up to 300 meters per minute. The Rottery Magnetic Roller is partially equipped with super-strong magnetic blocks on the surface of the roller body, which makes the welt of the flexible blade firmer and withstands higher-speed rotary die-cutting.

Q: Will the magnetism of the magnetic roller be weakened?

A: If maintained and placed properly, the magnetism will not be significantly weakened within 10 years. Some users' magnetic rollers need to be repaired after a few years. The reason is often not because the magnetic force of the magnetic roller is weakened, but because of the wear of the pillow shoulder and the magnetic roller body, or the roller caused by improper placement of pressure during use. The shaft is bent.

Q: Will the magnetic force of the magnetic roller affect other parts on the die-cutting seat?

A: The magnetic force of the magnetic roller only extends to a distance of about 10mm to the surface of the magnetic roller, so it will not affect other parts on the die-cutting seat. Of course, try not to let the magnetic roller body come into contact with other components, such as bearing sleeves, bottom rollers, etc.

Q: Does the magnetic force of the magnetic roller decrease with the smaller the diameter of the roller?

A: In the case that the diameter of the magnetic roller is not less than the recommended number of gear teeth, the magnetic force will not become smaller as the diameter of the roller is smaller. However, it should be noted that the diameter of the magnetic roller cannot be smaller than the small size recommended by the manufacturer.

Q: Is there a limit to the small size of the magnetic roller?

A: The small and safe size recommended by the magnetic roller manufacturer is: the circumference of the roller is not less than the width of the machine. But if a smaller size must be used for various reasons, it is recommended to follow the 4:1 rule: the diameter of the roller is not less than 1/4 of the width of the machine. Although manufacturers can make rollers smaller than 4:1, in order to die-cut smoothly and evenly and avoid mold jumping or even bending, following the above rules will prolong the service life of magnetic rollers as much as possible.

Q: Will high temperature affect the magnetic roller?

A: The magnet blocks of normal die-cut magnetic rolls can withstand temperatures up to 150 degrees Celsius. However, it is recommended not to place it in a high temperature environment exceeding 80 degrees Celsius for a long time, to avoid the uneven surface caused by the expansion of the adhesive. It should be noted that normal die-cutting magnetic rollers cannot be used for hot stamping seats. Hot foil stamping magnetic rollers need to withstand high temperatures of at least 240 degrees Celsius.
